Hi there! Thanks for your interest in booking a test shoot with me! I love working with both experienced and aspiring models to capture simple, timeless, and beautiful images that make your portfolio shine and help you attract the jobs that you want.
I have two options for test shoots and I’ve included all the details about both below. All photoshoots take place at my home studio in 12South in Nashville, TN. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Test Shoot Option 1: Clean Beauty Portraits
This option is for any model who wants simple, classic and beautiful images for her portfolio.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
* 2 hour beauty portrait photoshoot
* 2-3 outfit looks
* 5 final retouched photos
* You can purchase additional photos from the shoot for $30/photo (to cover the cost of the retouching)
* Shoot takes place in my home studio in 12South, Nashville, TN
* Rate: $300*
*Rate does not include hair/makeup
HAIR / MAKEUP: For this option, you'll need to arrive at the shoot with your hair and makeup done. To capture the best images possible, I highly recommend having your hair and makeup done professionally and then bringing makeup to the shoot with you for touchups. For portfolio work, a clean beauty look tends to look best (vs. heavy makeup bridal look, for example). If you prefer to have a MUA on set at the shoot, please contact one of the MUAs listed below for their rates.
Test Shoot Option 2: High-End Beauty
This option is specifically for models who are already booking gigs in the beauty industry and want to add more beauty work to their portfolios OR for models whose agents are trying to position them as a beauty model to get booked for makeup and skincare work. If this doesn’t describe you, I recommend going with Option 1.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
* 3-4 hour high-end beauty photoshoot
* Makeup/hair artist on set (see below)
* 2-3 beauty/makeup looks
* 8 final retouched photos
* You can purchase additional photos from the shoot for $39/photo (to cover the cost of the high-end retouching)
* Shoot takes place in my home studio in 12South, Nashville, TN
* Rate: $425*
*Rate does not include hair/makeup
HAIR / MAKEUP: For this option, we'll need a hair/makeup artist on set. To get the best images possible, having a MUA who's skilled at high-end beauty work is a must. Below is a list of the MUAs I prefer to work with. Take a look at their work and then reach out to them directly for rates for a 4-hour beauty test shoot with Laurel. Once you select one of them, I'll coordinate with them about scheduling the shoot.

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: Book Your Shoot
Book your shoot by coordinating a date/time with Laurel via email.
Step 2: Planning
If you have a specific vision about the type of images you're wanting, please send me a moodboard soon after booking. If not, no worries! I will come up with my own vision and let you know exactly what clothing and jewelry to bring with you to the shoot (so you'll probably need to be prepared to go shopping before the shoot).
Step 3: Create!
On the day of the shoot, we’ll make the magic happen!
Step 4: Retouch & Deliver
The images from your shoot will be posted in a private online gallery within 7 business days of the shoot date. Once you select the images you want, the final retouched images will be delivered in 2-3 weeks (for Clean Beauty Portraits) or 3-4 weeks (for High-End Beauty).
BY BOOKING THIS SHOOT, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
* To provide a moodboard to Photographer at least 1 week in advance of the shoot if you have a specific vision for the type of images you want.
* To bring any wardrobe/jewelry items to the shoot that you need (keep in mind that brand-new, high quality clothing/jewelry pieces work best for photography)
* To inform Photographer if you are experiencing any flu or Covid symptoms or have been diagnosed with flu or Covid (let's keep everyone safe at the shoot!)
* Photographer, in her sole artistic discretion, decides which images taken will be presented in gallery; not all images taken during the shoot will be presented or available for retouching.
* Non-retouched photos will not be released
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Photographer may reschedule the photoshoot due to Photographer's illness and will work with Model to reschedule photoshoot as soon as possible. If Model needs to reschedule, he/she will do his/her best to notify Photographer at least 48 hours prior to the photoshoot, or as soon as possible. If Model gives more than 48 hours notice about rescheduling, the paid fee can be transferred to another day and time upon the rescheduling of the photoshoot, so long as the rescheduled photoshoot takes place within 60 days of original photoshoot date, otherwise any fee paid will be forfeit. If Model gives less than 48 hours notice about rescheduling, she understands that there may be an additional fee involved to reschedule the photoshoot to another date. If the Model cancels the photoshoot for any reason and does not reschedule with 60 days, any fee paid will be forfeit.
